Get Up and Get Dressed
I know it’s been awhile! But child, I’ve been DRAINED, OVERWHELMED, DEEEPP Down in the Dumps, and to be frank Mentally and Emotionally Exhausted. I’m sure you all can relate to this, 2020 has been filled with a lot of challenges.
So many ups and downs. We’ve had to shut down our barbershop 3 different times. We have a new addition to the family. Details will come soon. And although we may have been exposed to Covid; another story to come, we’re safe and well.
The most challenging part of 2020 is losing my Grandmother, “Alice the Great”. My oldest and I flew across the country to spend some time with my family and attend the funeral.
On the bright side we figured out the safest way to fly. Please take note of these steps. 1. DON’T FLY. During the flight drinks and snacks were passed. And I guess “Don’t talk with your mouth full”, is no longer a thing. People were sitting with strangers talking without mask during and even after the snack. It was frightening!
In 2020 not only am I a wife, mom, work full time, now I’m a homeschool teachers, tutors, tech support, head of the cafeteria, the list goes on. With everything going on and always caring for my families needs; I decided to make myself a priority.
As women we LOVE to look good. When going through my battle with breast cancer there was a program called “Look Good, Feel Better”. It’s so true that feeling confident in your appearance, helps you feel confident in other parts of life. I purchased a book titled, “Get up and Get dressed”. And one day I’ve decided, I’m going to do just that. Check out link above to see my outfit.
I’m deciding daily to dress with intention of having a great day. And so far so good. Don’t get me wrong some days are still rough, but it’s the different mindset that get me through.
